What a happy Family -- Robin, Terry and Christine

Many Happy returns of the Day

21st, Dec. 2006, was a memorable day for many of those who attended Christine Metcalfe's birthday party held at Robin's appartment, in Collingwood, Melbourne. It was most ably organised by her son, Robin.
Among those present were friends and relatives some of whom have not met each other for many years. The night was filled with joy, the food was excellent and drinks flowed freely.

Lourdes, France. Pilgrimage

This pilgrimage to Lourdes made just weeks before James's departure. The fact that James survived the long flight to France was itself a miracle. He died soon after they got home. He was peaceful when he took leave of all present.
May he rest in peace, Amen Posted by Picasa

Sabah -- cont....

The Swedish couple we met on tour of Mt Kinabalu. They had heard of durians but had never tasted them. It was during this trip that they took the opportunity to savour the tasty flesh of the fruit but remained disappointingly and politely neutral. 'It was OK' admitted the wife. Posted by Picasa

Rafflesia -- a parasitic plant some as large as 3 ft across -- first discovered by Stamford Raffles. This one was located on the way to the Mt Kinabalu.
