These marsh hens can be seen heading towards us to be fed. They flap their wings to lift themselves above the water to reduce drag and at the same time they appear to run on water causing water to splash beneath them. Their reward is bits and pieces of fresh bread. Posted by Picasa

THEY LOOK LIKE THEY KNOW YOU AND WHAT TO EXPECT. I LIVE ON A LAKE AND HAVE ONE THAT HAS ONE LEG AND I HAVE TAKEN HIM UNDER MY WING YOU COULD SAY. I STARTED THIS SEARCH TODAY TO SEE IF THERE WAS SOMETHING ELSE BESIDES BREAD I COULD FEED HIM. HOWEVER, IT APPEARS TO WORK FOR YOUR HENS. MINE TOO, I JUST WANTED SOMETHING MORE NUTRITIOUS. tHANKS FOR THE NICE PICTURE
